It is so wild that almost a whole year has passed since Hayes was born. It seems like I was just at school getting ready for the next week and then over the weekend, she was born, two weeks early! That truly seems like just a few months ago. Our world has totally changed and for the better since January 2009. We love this girl with all our heart. Next weekend on the 23rd we are celebrating her FIRST birthday with a SNOW party with our family. I've had our house decorated for weeks (seriously) with snowflakes. Nathan says our house looks like the movie Elf when Will Farrell decorates the department store for Santa. But, since it's been EXTREMELY cold outside I think the inside snow/snowflakes/snowmen are appropriate!!
Last week we went birthday party shopping and found her the sweetest little hat! I really doubt she will keep it on at her party but at least I've already got one picture with her in it.
Do you mean we are having a birthday party for me?!!
Here are some recent pics of what this almost one year old is up to.
Finally getting to be a big girl and get in the big bath tub. I know a year is a long time to bathe a baby in the kitchen sink, but she hasn't known any difference and it's been super easy for me!
Learning to love her baby dolls, hopefully.
Which one should I play with?
BIG GIRL food. No more baby food for this one. The only thing she will let me feed her still is her yogurt, nothing else! She likes everything so far, all fruits and vegetables (but no oranges:), turkey, cheese, eggs, pancakes, grilled cheese. Just like her parents!! Also she is making the switch to whole milk. So far she likes it and I'm thankful. No more nursing for this momma!
This weekend we're going to visit a good friend from college in Atlanta. I am taking Hayes so it won't be too relaxing, but she'll have her 2 little friends Anna Clare and Lucy to play with so it will be fun for both of us. However, we ARE planning to go out (just dinner:) after the little ones go to bed! I'll have some pics to post next week. Happy Friday!

Oh sweet Hayes. I can't wait for your party! Baker is so fired up to tell you happy birthday. I know your snow party will be precious. She looks so old Amy. I don't even know her anymore.
Her birthday sounds like fun and I love all the snowflakes and decorations. Zetta Grace's outfit was from Shrimp and Grits. I got it when Ana did a show in Dothan and I happened to be in town too. Have fun this weekend!
