Nana's Party and Birthday Girls

We just got back from Dothan and had the best weekend. Hayes and I went and had a girls weekend and left the boys at home. They had a fun weekend too being by themselves! I think some time apart is good for H & W sometimes. It so rarely happens. They have been so excited to see each other and play together since we got back! Alyssa and I decided my mom needed to be fully celebrated on her 60th birthday, so we planned a birthday brunch for her and friends. It was a great party. I think she loved it and we all had a great time!! Alyssa did a super job getting her house ready, everything was beautiful!!!
Baby pictures all around were so cute
This was a cute tree where everybody wrote a funny memory or birthday wish and then Alyssa read them all out loud
We had a yummy strawberry cake from Edgar's!
Isn't she so young?!!!
3 Sisters
The birthday girl with her girls. Happy Birthday, Nana! We all love you so much!!
That night I was able to sneak away by myself (thank you Nana and Papa) to go celebrate Kelli's birthday with her and Griffin and Katie and Lane. and their sweet babies. I loved catching up with them. I miss my old Dothan friends so much!!! Happy Birthday, Mama Kel!
Today we made it to Montgomery just in time for lunch with my Daddy and Susan and my aunt Ann and uncle Bill. We celebrated Ann's 80th birthday today. She is my grandmother's youngest sister. Happy Birthday, Ann!
It was a great weekend and I feel like we've been all over the state! Hayes was a great traveling partner. I hope we have alot more girl trips and weekends in our future. We did miss our boys though. So thankful we're all back together safe and sound!!

Happy 4th Birthday, Hayes!

Today is our Hayesie Daisy's 4th birthday! Truly, truly so hard to believe that she was born 4 years ago. It really goes by so fast. She has been well celebrated with a birthday breakfast and a precious Dora party this morning with her friends. It was super sweet and we had beautiful weather today. Many thanks to all who came to celebrate! Hopefully more pictures will follow but I got a new phone and all my pics are on there. High-tech lifestyle is not for me, I think I'm sticking w/my old school camera for pictures from now on!!

The Snowy Day & Birthdays

Last week it snowed in Birmingham! Usually I keep up and would know about a possible snow day, but this one snuck up on us and it was a big surprise! We do not see much weather or news stories on Disney Jr or Sprout or Nick Jr! It was so pretty and the kids loved watching it. It was like watching a rainstorm only it was snow. We had 2 go-rounds of playing outside but they were both so cold. My little warm blooded Alabama babies couldn't take the cold air for very long! We made a snowman but I forgot to snap a picture. It was a beautiful afternoon.
In other news, we have 2 special birthdays coming up this week, Hayes is turning 4 somehow and Nana is having her ___th birthday too. We love them both so much. I hope to be back to posting soon. I've taken a little break from the computer and it's been nice. Happy Monday, friends!

Christmas Break

This is the end of week 3 of being out of school. Today was the first day that it is starting to seem like a long time. It's been so much fun. Nathan was home with us for a good while. We've played, played, played, played, mostly inside. This weather has been too cold to play outside for me! The week before Christmas we passed out candy canes at a nursing home close to our house. This is getting to be a favorite thing for us. The people are so sweet and they seem to really appreciate anything you bring them and they love seeing kids. And most importantly it's a good lesson for H&W in giving and sharing, and learning to love older people.
She is about to be 4, which totally blows my mind. My mind has been occupied with her party coming up in a few weeks!
And this stinker is knocking on #2's door. He is obsessed with all things choo choo train.
We've played with friends-close friends and far away friends-we miss you, Rebecca!!
Lots of baking for teachers, neighbors, and ourselves
We've been to McWane several times and it's been so fun every time. They love the snow exhibit, slide, Clifford, train and that zipline. Hayes loves it and has had good lessons about waiting patiently for her turn! There are kids of all ages standing in line and she just stands so still, right in the middle of all the big kids. She won't let me stand close to her, I have to stand on the OTHER side of the rope. Cannot believe we are already getting to that stage.
Nathan and Hayes had a movie date, Finding Nemo 3D
This boy is just like his daddy, loves a blanket
We went to Montgomery one day and ate lunch at Pop Pop and Susan's and our Dothan cousins came too. It was a great afternoon with our family and the trips on the road these days are getting much easier the older they get!
